Zoom has begun to carry out a new feature called Immersive View, which promises to make meetings more interactive and collaborative.

According to Mashable, Zoom unveiled the feature at Zoomtopia 2020 and it is now available for Windows and Mac users.

The host can choose the meeting's scenes to make interactions more enjoyable. Zoom has already given a few scenes to assist you in getting started, but you can also upload your own. A classroom, a boardroom, a conference auditorium, or even a cafe may be used to create these scenes.

While any picture can be used as an Immersive View background, the company claims that using the same file format, aspect ratio, and resolution recommendations for virtual backgrounds will yield the best results. It's worth noting that in order to see the virtual backdrop, users must have the most recent version of Zoom.

What is the role of Immersive View?

The function can be activated in the same way that the 'Speaker' or 'Gallery' View can be selected by hosts. Hosts will be able to position guests in a virtual scene of their choice, either automatically or manually. What's more, hosts can quickly switch participants around the scene and resize their images for a more natural experience.

Here's how you should put it to use:

1. Open the Zoom meeting app on your device.

2. In the top right corner of the screen, near the Speaker or Gallery View, you'll find the choice to allow Immersive View. Select the Immersive View option.

3. Place your meeting participants in one of Zoom's virtual backgrounds. You can also add your own picture to the list.

4. The meeting participants or webinar hosts will now appear on everyone's screen with the same virtual background. Simply make sure you're running the most recent version of the app.

All Free and single Pro accounts using Zoom 5.6.3 or higher have the 'Immersive View' available by default, and all other account types will access it through the web portal.

Users on Zoom desktop and mobile apps that do not accept the feature can continue to see other meeting participants in either 'Gallery View' or 'Speaker View' when the 'Immersive View' feature is activated.
