Instagram is working on a number of various features to improve the user experience. Users can add up to four pronouns to their Instagram profile, which will appear next to their username. Users will enjoy this feature because most of them are already using pronouns in their profile bios.

Vice President of Product at Instagram, Vishal Shah, tweeted a screenshot of the feature, saying, "Now you can add pronouns to your profile with a new area." It's just another way to express yourself on Instagram, and we've already seen a lot of people use pronouns, so hopefully, this will make things even simpler. Currently available in a few countries, with plans to expand.”

Instagram users can select whether their pronouns are visible to the public or only to their followers on their profile. Users under the age of 18 will have this function activated by default, according to The Verge. Users can choose from a variety of pronouns to use in their Instagram profile. There's also the option of filling out a form to include pronouns that aren't included in Instagram's list of choices. In the form, you can specify your preferred pronoun as well as your Instagram username.

To submit pronouns that do not appear as options when adding them to your profile, users must fill out a form at https://help.instagram.com/contact/.Instagram says it will "continue to update the list of words over time so that more people around the world can quickly share their pronouns."

Instagram has added a small but significant update as part of its ongoing effort to enhance inclusivity on its website. Instead of having to use pronouns in their bios, users can now add them directly to their profiles.

Instagram has not stated which countries the new feature is available in. Some users in the United States were able to customize their profiles with pronouns.
